Greetings Gamers!

It’s my pleasure to introduce to you Jonathan Harrop, the new Community Manager for GameStop Impulse.  Jonathan is going to take over moderation of these forums, and will be helping to revitalize our Twitter and Facebook communities.  Community is a key part of Impulse, and Jonathan is going to be leading the effort to make the Impulse platform the go-to place for gamers who want to discover and talk about the latest and greatest in PC gaming.

Born in the UK, but a Texan at heart, Jonathan has a long history with gaming, starting with Desert Strike on the Sega Genesis, but quickly making the jump to PC gaming during the golden era of adventure games with the classics from LucasArts.  Since then, he’s moved onto real-time strategy and RPG titles, leaving shooters, casual and sports games to his consoles.  Beyond gaming, he also spent three years moderating the Portent forums, one of the largest Games Workshop-centered communities on the Internet, helping it grow and become a go-to source for news, rumors, tactics and all discussion on GW-branded games.

As primary moderator for the community, Jonathan will be responsible for encouraging community growth and helping to make this community vibrant and welcoming to new gamers, many of whom may be new to digital distribution entirely.  He’ll also be working closely with the rest of the Impulse team to keep you informed and up-to-date on all the exciting things we have planned for the platform in the coming months.
